President Reuven Rivlin and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu welcomed Romanian President Klaus Werner Iohannis in Jerusalem on Monday,, March 7. President Iohannis, along with the two Israeli leaders, expressed willingness and determination to build upon the long-held friendship between the two countries.
“The continuous relations between the two countries are based on a tradition of 68 years of shared values and traditions, which continue to develop,” noted President Iohannis after having been greeted by Rivlin.
During his meeting with the Romanian president, Prime Minister Netanyahu also gave recognition to the historic ties between Israel and Romania.
