Berlin (TPS) – Prime Minister Netanyahu strongly criticized the French initiative to impose a final agreement on Israel and the Palestinian Authority while in Berlin for a Government-to-Government meeting between Israel and Germany. France would formally recognize a Palestinian state if negotiations between Israel and the Palestinian Authority were to fail.

“The French initiative, as it has been published, is questionable,” said Netanyahu. “It says, ‘we will hold an international conference, but if you do not succeed, we are already predetermining the result and we will recognize a Palestinian state.’”
