Jordan Deports Palestinian Refugees Escaping Syria (Human Rights Watch)
(dailyalert.org, Aug. 20, 2014)
Jordan refuses entry or forcibly deports Palestinian refugees escaping Syria, Human Rights Watch said in a report released Aug. 7.
The report, Not Welcome: Jordan’s Treatment of Palestinians Escaping Syria, says Jordan has officially banned entry to Palestinians from Syria since January 2013 and has forcibly deported over 100, including women and children.
Most of Syria’s neighboring countries have also placed entry restrictions on Palestinians from Syria.
