Joint List Chairman Ayman Odeh attempted to justify the visits by three Arab members of Knesset to the families of terrorists who had carried out attacks on Israelis during the recent wave of terrorism.
Odeh sought to defend the visit on humanitarian grounds. “The meeting which took place last week was humanitarian and moral. The bodies [of the terrorists] must be released and buried immediately. We must also denounce the Israeli government, which is holding the bodies in freezers,” Odeh said at a Joint List meeting.
He went on to criticize what he described as the “delegitimization and demonization of the Arab population and its leaders.” He criticized Prime Minister Netanyahu for seeking legal action against the three MKs.
