Israeli-Arab Teacher Convicted For Attempting to Join ISIS

The Beer Sheva District Court sentenced an Israeli Arab teacher to four years in prison on Thursday, January 7, for his role in a secret network aimed at providing support for ISIS.

The accused individual, Muhammad Abu Alkian, a 28-year-old Israeli Arab from the southern Bedouin village of Hura, was convicted on a series of conspiratorial charges which, inter alia, included the attempt to carry out various activities on behalf of illegal organizations and attempting to illegally leave the country.
