Galil (TPS) – Two Israeli D9 bulldozers were hit on the afternoon of Monday, January 4 by an explosive device near the Lebanese border.
The explosion occurred at 3:15 PM as two Israeli D9 vehicles were clearing a route along the Lebanese border. The attack triggered an immediate response by the IDF, which shelled the Lebanese border with artillery fire after Hezbollah claimed responsibility.
The blasts from the explosion could be heard by Israeli residents of the Galilee causing the local regional council to evacuate Har Ve’Guy school in Kibbutz Dafna located in the Upper Galilee. The evacuation, however, was not carried out per instructions or recommendations of the IDF.
