Israel Sees Hizbullah Presence in Golan(Middle East Newsline)

Israel’s intelligence community has assessed that Iranian-sponsored Hizbullah was establishing a presence in Syria’s Golan Heights.

Officials said Hizbullah has sent scores of operatives to the Syrian-ruled portion of the Golan Heights to attack Sunni rebels there as well as in southern Syria.

“They are already in the Golan, but they are not carrying out direct attacks on us – yet,” an official said.
