IAF aircraft attacked this afternoon seven terror sites in the southern Gaza Strip.
“Since yesterday we have seen a substantial deterioration in the safety of the residents in southern Israel,” IDF Spokesman Lt. Col. Peter Lerner said. ”We have responded and will continue to do so in order to eliminate threats as they develop. This is our obligation and responsibility to those exposed to Gaza terrorism.” The IDF has vowed to do everything in its power to fight Gaza terrorism and protect the people of Israel.
This morning at about 9:00 AM terrorists continued yesterday’s attacks, firing four rockets at Israeli towns surrounding Gaza. Later on, at about 11:00, terrorists fired several rockets at populated areas in Ashdod and Ashkelon, broadening their range and placing hundreds of thousands more citizens under their threat.
Since the start of 2014, Gazan terrorists have fired more than 100 rockets at Israel. Yesterday’s rocket fire was the largest attack against Israeli civilians since Operation Pillar of Defense in November 2012.
