The IDF will open a field hospital for Gazan civilians this evening, an IDF spokesman stated. The medical center will provide medical services to the Gazan wounded, as well as other medical services required, including a maternity ward. The hospital will be staffed by doctors, nurses and medical technicians. The hospital, situated at the Erez crossing, will be deployed in a rocket proof building.

In the meantime, Israel has agreed to a two hour humanitarian-based cease fire in the Sagae’ya area to enable the Hamas to treat their wounded and collect their dead. The IDF has called on the civilian population to take advantage of the cease fire and evacuate the area.
