“Windsor. A local engineering firm that has been hiring University of Windsor students on co-op programs for more than 20 years is threatening to cut ties to the school because of the controversy on campus over a proposed boycott of Israel.
A letter addressed to University president Alan Wildeman from Richard Spencer, president of Spencer Associates Consulting Engineers, calls for the university to “obliterate” a referendum sponsored by the University of Windsor Palestinian Solidarity Group asking students to back an initiative supporting “divesting from companies that support or profit from Israeli war crimes, occupation and oppression.”
