“Ben Gurion: Leadership in Turbulent Times”

Description: The lecture will follow the emergence of a great national leader from very humble beginnings, and how he forged the creation of the state of Israel. It is the story of a person but also the story of an old-new nation.

Anita Shapira is Professor Emerita at Tel Aviv University, where she previously served as Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and held the Ruben Merenfeld Chair for the Study of Zionism.

Presented by the Anne Tanenbaum Centre for Jewish Studies.

This event is free and open to the public. No registration required. Please be advised that seating is limited.
