Jerusalem (TPS) – President Reuven Rivlin met with U.S. Vice President Joe Biden Wednesday, March 9, thanking Biden for being a close and supportive friend of Israel. The meeting, which took place at the President’s Residence in Jerusalem, followed an earlier tête-à-tête between Vice President Biden and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

“I know that Israel is close to your heart, and we welcome you as a dear friend of Israel and the Jewish people,” Rivlin said to Biden. “In the White House on Chanukah, I thanked President Obama, and today I thank you again, for the continued U.S. support for Israel’s security.”
