Invitation: Meet the Authors, Adas Israel, Hamilton, Wednesday, November 8, 2017

The Never Again Group is proud to present a Meet-the-Authors evening to be held at the Adas Israel Congregation, 125 Cline Avenue South, Hamilton on Wednesday November 8 from 7:30-10:30 p.m. 

Featured are two important, thematically-linked books by two well-known authors:

  • Howard Rotberg, “The Ideological Path to Submission … and what we can do about it”.  Howard is a Canadian writer, the President of Mantua Books, a publisher, a former practicing lawyer, a businessman and the author of four books.
  • Christine Douglass-Williams, “The Challenge of Modernizing Islam: Reformers Speak Out and The Obstacles They Face”.  Christine is an author, columnist, a nine-time international award-winning journalist and television producer, a past appointee to the Office of Religious Freedom in Foreign Affairs and a political advisor.

The evening will be moderated by two eminent advocates for Islamic reform:

  • Raheel Raza is President of The Council for Muslims Facing Tomorrow.  She is a well-respected author, documentary film maker, activist and political advisor. 
  • Salim Mansur is Vice President of The Council for Muslims FacingTomorrow.  He is Associate Professor in the Department of Political Science at the University of Western Ontario, activist, author and former journalist.

The talks will be documented by Tahir Aslam Gora, editor, publisher, writer and founder of Canadian Thinkers’ Forum, Progressive Muslims Institute Canada and Muslim Committee Against Anti-Semitism. Tahir is President of TAG-TV.

Following the authors’ presentations, Raheel and Salim will moderate a discussion between the two authors followed by a question period.

Books will be available for sale.  Admission, light refreshments and parking are free.
