In my article on Clarion Project’s website, dated April 3, 2014, I quoted my conversation with a staunch member of Jamaat-e-Islami in Canada, who assured me that “eight to 10 members of the Muslim community would become Liberal Party of Canada MPs in 2015.”
He also said, “We want Muslim representation in our parliament so that our members can watch our interests in the government.” By “Muslims,” he meant Jamaat-e-Islami and Muslim Brotherhood followers.
Not many people in April 2014 envisioned more than 10 MPs of Muslim faith in our federal government. However, an Islamist fellow predicted and I feared. Eventually, it happened. I am a Muslim myself. So I am not an Islamophobe
